Clipbucket is a Youtube/Vimeo-clone type script, allowing a user to self-host their own video sharing website.
It’s complete with advertisement, user management, etc., however it requires hosting with root access and CANNOT be
hosted on most shared hosting plans such as Godaddy, etc.
This tutorial explains how to install Clipbucket version 2.6 on a Windows Apache/PHP/MySQL server.
I do NOT explain how to install the required FFMPEG, FLVTOOL2, or MP4Box Clipbucket needs to process videos in this tutorial, but those are not needed for the installation process and can be configured later.
At the time of creating this tutorial, there’s some pretty serious issues with the Clipbucket code regarding new installs. I’ve shown how to work-around the installation issues, but I am at a loss regarding the login issue and just don’t have the time to fix their code. I didn’t have this issue with installing version 2.5 and I hope this is fixed soon.
I cannot find the specific requirements on their website, but you will need at LEAST an Apache HTTP Server running PHP 5.3 and MySQL Server.
If I can find the requirements, I’ll update this post and add them here.
The download link is found at http://clip-bucket.com/latest or you can find it at their SourceForge page http://sourceforge.net/projects/clipbucket/.
You can find other versions (such as 2.5) on their Sourceforge page.
